Sec 1 Orientation 2015

Each year, Serangoon Secondary warmly welcomes our new students with an exciting activity-packed 2-day Orientation Program. This normally begins on the second day of school. Our prefectorial board, comprising senior students, will showcase their leadership qualities by helping new students familiarize with their new academic environment and culture as well as to get acquainted with one another. Thus, this would allow students to study and work together with a sense of belonging to the school and establish camaraderie with their schoolmates. New students will also get to know our school campus better, as this will be their second home for the next four or five years to come. The Sec 1 Orientation Programme this year ended with a blast, as we gathered for a Campfire with the presence of all staff, students and their parents. It was a night of songs and dance, a time of celebration of the transition of our primary 6 pupils, as they begin a new chapter of their lives in secondary school.

X Country 2014

The X-country this year took a different route and feel as the venue was literally closer to home. Utilising the Park Connector, which is just at our doorstep, both students and staff had a day of fun and sweating it out, as they ran from Punggol Promenade all the way back to school, covering a distance of about 3.4km. The competition format is also different this year, with the competitive and fun runners, but the StaRs gave their all, displaying the SHINE values and gained points for their classes. Kudos to one and all for the effort in completing the event! Till X-Country 2015!

Sec 3 Adventure Camp 2014

This year, the annual 3D2N Secondary 3 Camp is held at MOE Jalan Bahtera Adventure Centre on 3 to 5 March. In a nutshell, the camp objectives of bonding as a class, working in teams and developing respect for one another despite differences were fulfilled and met. Students were better bonded with their fellow peers. Through this camp, the StaRs were made aware of the importance of leadership and team work and how leaders and followers complement each other within the group They had gone through a new outdoor experience which prove beneficial in the present as well as future.
