Performance at Istana

On the 13th November 2012, the Serangoon Symphonic Band had the privilege to perform at the Istana grounds which was open to the public in celebration of Deepavali.

Popular tunes such as 'J-Pop', 'I got a feeling', 'Firework' and 'Oppa Gangnam Style' were performed for the audience which gathered in the main tent to show their enthusiasm and support.

The Band also had the honour of taking a photograph with the President of the Republic of Singapore, Mr Tony Tan, and the first lady at the Ceremonial Plaza.

The band prides itself with every opportunity to contribute and perform for and on behalf of the school. Having taken part in Music and Arts Festival, “Bands by the Bay”, as well as forming a band contingent for National Day, members of Serangoon Symphonic Band continue to ignite passion in all their endeavours.

Above all, the band has also actively reached out to the community in performing for old folks, thereby bringing music and cheer to the residents of an old folk’s home.
The experience of the Serangoon Symphonic Band lives on in the hearts of its members.
