Sec 1 Geographical Investigation of our water way

The Sec 1 students conducted a geographical investigation “How clean is our water way?” at the Sungei Serangoon near to our school. They did a sketch map of the area and noted the human activities which could have affected the water in the river. Water was also collected from the river and the students tested the water for level of dissolved oxygen, the PH value and turbidity.

Sec 1 Learning Journey 2014

All the Sec 1 students went to the Marina Barrage and NeWater visitor centre for a better understanding of the importance of Water Resource in Singapore on 27 May 2014.

Geographical Investigation – 4N Learning Journey in Little India

The Sec 4N students conducted a geographical investigation on 2 April 2014 – What makes Little India as an attraction for tourists.

History Learning Journey to Kranji War Memorial and Changi Chapel

4 Classes of Sec 1E had their history learning journey on 17 October 2014. At the Kranji War Memorial, the students learned more about the men and women who died defending Singapore and Malaya against the invading Japanese forces during World War II. The students were further engaged in their learning of Singapore history in WWII at the Changi Chapel. Changi Chapel is a replica of the original Chapel built by the prisoners of war who were held in Changi Gaol during the Japanese Occupation from 1942 to 1945.

History Learning Journey to Labrador Park and Reflections at Bukit Chandu

2 Classes of Sec 1NA had their history learning journey on 23 October 2014. They explored the fort which the British had built at Labrador Park to protect Singapore as it was situated along the major trading route.

Geographical Investigation of tourism in Chinatown 2014

3 classes of Sec 2E completed the GI on 20 Oct and 3 classes of Sec 2NA completed the GI on 23 Oct. The students were assigned 3 different streets – Smith Street, Pagoda Street and Temple Street to complete the landuse survey. They also took photographs of the attractions and amenities as data to test the hypothesis that Chinatown has many attractions and amenities which attract tourists.
